If you want to sign up your students for a web 2.0 application and this requires an email account, simply use your free gmail account
You can register different unique account names numerous times using your own e-mail address by doing this:
Carey Pohanka suggested that you could use the student’s name instead of a number, and then you won’t have any problems identifying them
I didn’t know that trick, many thanks
All activity the websites under these accounts will be sent to your original, derivative e-mail (i.e. firstname.lastname@example.org). This way, you’ll be able to give each student a unique application account, while also being able to monitor their account’s activity.

I use this all the time! I use it with the +student name so when the emails come to my account I know who it is about.
Brilliant – I didn’t know that trick, many thanks Carey
Can I use student email addresses given by NSW Dept of Education and Training plus this to give them access to the edublog I have set up or do they have to be paying supporters to be added
I haven’t really got involved with the supporter platform so don’t really have the answers here. Perhaps a note on the forum might help
